For Responsible Regulation

January 11, 2008 -- The Ohio Supreme Court decision looms.

Will the residents of Jefferson Township keep their right to vote to reject a non-protective and weak wind turbine zoning amendment?  A foreign-based wind company and local protesters under contract with that company have alleged that a perfectly written and submitted referendum petition was incorrectly delivered to the Logan County Board of Elections.  While the Logan County Board of elections found in favor of the citizens asking for the right to vote, the wind companies and their lease holders have filed a protest with the Ohio Supreme Court asking to have the Board of Elections ruling overturned.  Hopefully the Supreme Court will agree that the Jefferson Township citizens should have a right to this vote on March 4, 2008 to overturn this dangerous zoning amendment.  This fight to allow us to vote has alone has cost of over $6,000 in legal fees.   See this website’s DONATE page to see how you can help protect your neighborhood.
